  Main vehicle access to this area is off Ed Logan Way. There is a fairly large car park, but part of this is occasionally sectioned off for motorcycle training. On days when several ball games are hosted, parking places are hard to find. There is a smaller car park at the south end but this is locked up a 9pm. This place is also within a short walk of the train station.
  There are plenty of open spaces and perimeter walks. A long tarmac footpath follows a river which is ideal for walking, cycling and jogging. At the south end of the area is a skate park with a few picnic tables. An underpass adjacent to the railway line leads down to further playing fields and boating lake.
  The footpath runs through a nice lightly wooded area with colourful shrubs dotted around which adds to the tranquility of the area.
  Great place for dog walking and the river has some open bank areas for the dog to have a paddle, but do be careful as the river is fast flowing and swollen when it rains. A dog was swept away a few years back and sadly died.
